There is a special relationship that develops, when your photographer has been with you from the beginning. There is a deeper connection, an understanding, between you both that is difficult to explain, but so very very significant to the entire process. I trust that my children know Julia well enough to give her genuine smiles and authentic expressions; I trust that I don’t have to explain anything about my body and my hopes and dreams to Julia, because she already knows.
