When I was growing up I would stare at these black and white photos of my Mom and Brother that were on the mantle. I was fascinated and fixated on them. It actually didn't even matter that I wasn't in them. I was seeing my Mom, loving being a Mom. She was lit up inside, completely in love with her baby. These are the kinds of images I want to make for you and for your kiddos. They want to see you.
I know you took a million photos on your phone this year. But how many of them made it onto a wall or into an album? And how many of them are you actually in? I get the struggle as even as a professional photographer I struggle to get in the frame with my family. The months pass by and my walls are still dominated by the professional photos when Nova was nine months old. Thankfully I have developed a routine of making images of my daughter Nova (and framing them!) but I still don't see myself in them. And more importantly she doesn't see me. Our kiddos need to see us. They will delight in seeing our laughter, our hands, our care, and connection.

I created these mini sessions for mamas who want real artwork but aren't sure they can make it through a long photoshoot! This isn't just a session where we will painstakingly try to get your kids to cooperate or smile at the camera. I get silly and creative, engaging everyone in the family in order for their true personalities and connections to shine through.

These 40 minute sessions will be entirely shot on film allowing for all the magic of the Spring light to shine through. Your scans will be delivered in an online gallery for you to print, share and save however you please.

I have been photographing families in San Francisco for over ten years now. A lot goes into making one stunning photo to print out and frame. I start with the best locations. Then I send you my best tips and tricks to prepare to be in front of my camera. On the day we show up and play! I'll be directing you into the best light and giving you little prompts that will help us make real and stunning images.

This whole shoot is just so much better than I could’ve hoped for (and this coming from a recovering perfectionist with impossible standards!) There was plenty of dysfunction that day just like every day, and yet only the good and the beautiful remains. Eternally grateful.

What if my child doesn't want to participate?
Your child can do no wrong! I will remind you of this beforehand and throughout our session. I will be prompting you to embrace whatever comes. That's how we get photos that are real and show your true connection.
What if we are sick? It rains?
If your child is sick and it's just not gonna be the day for photos I just ask for as much notice as possible. I will do my best to reschedule. I am a Mom. I know how it is. If it's raining I will provide some make up day options. That being said we don't need a perfectly sunny day to make beautiful photos.
Can we keep our images private?
We retain the rights to all images however you will have the option to purchase the copyrights for a small fee of $200. As photographers it is essential to be able to use photos for marketing purposes. The copyright fee helps cover the cost for alternative marketing costs.
